when searching all I could find was about bleeding and disengagement problems.

I was just wondering if there are other problems when you have air in your clutch hydraulics other than not being able to disengage properly? Could chatter result? Or is it just that you can't get the clutch away from the engine?

Why don't you just bleed the slave cylinder and find out if that solves your problem?

considering all the hydrolic system does is engage or disengage the clutch system i'd say it not doing that would be a major problem, and air would cause it. what is your real question?

Can the slave cylinder be bled like the brake system?
What i do for brakes is open the filler cap, pump the brakes a few times, then loosen the drain bolts slightly on the caliper with a hose attached that goes into a small bucket iwth fresh brake fluid in it. I then pump the brakes and refill the res. until all traces of bubbles are gone. I then get someone to hold the brake pedal down fully while I tighten the drain on the caliper.

Is there a drain screw on the clutch slave cyclinder? if so, can you point me in the right direction..i don't recal seeing one there anywhere...

dO a search for my username and for something like bleed slave. I did a write up on how I bled the hydraulics.

gm says to gravity bleed the clutch system. i've enver had any, or much, luck with that method. never had any luck doing it like you would brakes. i have had great sucess doing a reverse bleed wit ha pheniox injector.

Sorry, maybe I didn't word it well. I don't have any engagement/disengagement problems....always clean, so I don't suspect air in the system is an issue. however, this is my first manual so I was just wondering if a small amount of air in the system could maybe cause other things such as chatter, but not enough air to cause eng./diseng. problems.
