question on rear diff swap
I have a 91 RS with a 3:23 drum rear, My buddy has a 87 Chevy silverado 1500 (half ton) with a 10-bolt 5 lug posi 3:73 rear.
I was wondering if it is possible to do a complete swap and if it would be a bolt on job, or am I going to have to fab mounts or anything?

Re: question on rear diff swap
Won't fit. Third gens use coil spring and torque arm suspension. The pickup truck is a simple leaf spring system. Although all the mounting hardware can be cut off and swapped over, there's no way to attach the torque arm. The pickup truck diff is also wider than a third gen.

Thanks for the info, looks like the swap is going to be a no-go then.
