700R4/4L60 Line pressure test?
Are these transmissions line pressure directly related to valve body shift kit and correct adjustment of TV cable?
If so, how do you check your pressure at different rpms?
Also, what pressure are you shooting for at idle and WOT?

throttle valve cable yes
has to be set correctly
only one setting on these
pull the housing all the way rear ward
then open the throttle all the way WOT to set it,
i have no idea what is stock line pressure on typical 700r4 pumps.
someone here will know that

Re: 700R4/4L60 Line pressure test?
With the .500" main boost valve and a .296" or .300" intermediate/reverse boost valve. You should be at a minimum of 210 and a maximum of 240 psi. at WOT in the 1-2-3 positions. Reverse can be more. This can vary with other modifications done to the valve body, and how stiff the main boost valve spring is. Anything under 210 psi. at WOT will not hold any kind of horsepower for long, even with the right 3-4 clutches and 2-4 band. I find 230-240 psi. with everthing else done right to be a good pressure for the 700R4/4L60E unit.

The TV cable should be tight at WOT. "IF" you find that it shifts to late at part throttle, then you can "back off" a 1/16" at the most to correct this. If you are installing the kit and have any questions, call me at 909 795-1876 anytime in the afternoon or evening during the week or anytime on the weekends. If you miss me leave a message and I will return the call. Dana
