700r4 valve body diagram?

Any one have an exploded view of the valve body? I am going to attempt to take mine apart and clean it as well as replace the accumilator springs inside. Please post a diagram if some of you out there have one . Thanks

That is a very cool diagram. Do mere mortals take a trans apart to that detail?

if you have no stuck valves, I don't take them apart. I build transmissions for a living. Make sure each valve moves easily in the bore using a small screwdriver/seal pick. Clean it with lots of brake cleaner and compressed air. Leave out the accumulator springs and replace them with a stack of washers/nuts underneath the piston so the accumulator pistons don't move and it will firm up your shifts. Just make sure the piston doesn't stick out of the bore ANY AT ALL (use a strait edge across the surface). The B & M shift improver kit for 700R4 is a good one. it has you drill a couple holes in the separator plate and remove a spring in the MTVupshift valve, and leave out a checkball.

Hi Greggbruce,

I have some questions also and would appreciate any assistance. Are you still monitoring this link and thirdgen?
This is the thread that I started and explained. Any help would be great.

Re: 700r4 valve body diagram?

I have a question as well.
I can get a tci constant pressure valve body for my 700r4 for cheap. I was wondering how difficult an install this would be?

My God don't do this "Leave out the accumulator springs and replace them with a stack of washers/nuts underneath the piston so the accumulator pistons don't move and it will firm up your shifts. Just make sure the piston doesn't stick out of the bore ANY AT ALL (use a strait edge across the surface). The B & M shift improver kit for 700R4 is a good one. If you want to break your transmission in the long run and you want very hard 1-2 part throttle shifts, then this will give it to you. Doing this to the 4th accumulator is ok, but never to the 2nd accumulator. You should have seen what I have taken apart over the years from people doing this, and the damage it did. I thought this way of thinking died years ago.
