T56 ebay shifter
I researched this shifter a bit before I bought it but didn't find much. So I decided to take a chance and give it a try. It was $29 with free shipping so even if it sucked it was no big loss.
Here are some pics of it
As you can see the shaft is pretty straight. It is designed for the 93-02 cars of course so I expected some fitting issues.
This is what I had to do to the shaft to make it fit. I used my press to first bend the base and then the opposite direction up top. Before I bent it it would hit the console going over to reverse.
Shift stops. You can also see the little inserts under the bolts. They give you two sets so you have up to 4 options for mounting it forward and back. They also give you new allen bolts but I just used the stock bolts.
All installed with new shift boot.
All in all I like the shifter. It is considerably shorter than the stock shifter. The throw is nice and it feels nice a tight. It may just be the fact the handle isn't mounted in rubber but it feels much more solid than the stock unit. I think it is 100% worth the $29 I paid for it.

Wish I had seen this before. May have been a better option.
Good work!

Yeah it has been a while since I posted this but I have about 8000 miles using this shifter and it has been great. Still nice and tight and I have never missed a shift.
