an LS1 flywheel won't bolt to a gen 1 small block.. if you have the stock engine or any other 86 and newer small block, then you need an LT1 flywheel. if you have an 85 and older 350, then you will need a 12.75" flywheel that is compatible with the LT1 clutch setup.

The 97 should have had a LT1. Use the LT1 flywheel with your 89 motor.

Yea i know that but LT1's come with external balance flywheel dont they? And my 89 iroc engine is internal balance so i need the flywheel to be internal balance or neutral right?? Or am i wrong??

The LT1 is internally balanced the same as a 350.

As long as it's an 86 and newer 350, you should go with everything 97 V8 Camaro. flywheel, clutch, transmission, hydraulics and pedals.

Any LT1 or LT4 is an 86-up 350. Same balance. Same flywheel compatibility. They are all internally balanced which includes the unbalance weighted flywheel.

If your 89 350 was indeed changed from stock balance to neutral balance flywheel compatible balance, you gained nothing and you can't buy an off-the- shelf flywheel.
