85 trans am , drive line clunk
hi guys , has anyone have knowledge on the following ? i have a 85 t/a , with engine running , shifting from park to drive at idle , i get a real clunk , almost like a lot of play in the driveline or something loose from underneath . the car runs fine through all gears , its just that initial shift from park to drive , is this a common trait of this model , or is there something thats a known problem in this area , thanks , luke , from down under .

Check your Transmission mount for one.
Depending on the mileage on the car, it could have rear end play and/or worn u-joint.
You'll have some play but these are things to start with.
