It's a 305 car. Just wondering if it would be a WC transmission

Would have come with the 2md design. But after all these years, who knows.

EEeeeeezy enough to see by just getting up under the car and looking.

2nd design is the bottom one.

This one is still installed in the car. Is the Torx bolt visible on the side of an installed transmission?

You can see the line where the bottom of the bell housing was on my transmissions there. All that dirty stuff below the line is out in the open.

The car was so far gone that the jack went through the frame. The floor was so badly rusted that I was able to put my cell camera into the tunnel and snap a pic. Found this. Based on what I've learned here, that bolt makes it a non World Class

Good point. I'm not certain that was 1988-up off the top of my head or if one fits the other. Also because I bought an 88 WC V8 T5 with an 86 top shift rail cover, I'd have still looked at the front of the case by the bell; you can tell without removing the trans.

I'd tried. I just couldn't get the car off the ground. It was a rusted out disaster sitting in the dirt.

I could've cut the drive train out with a butter knife, I'm not kidding.
