How long do Syncros in a T5 generally last?
Getting a WC wtih 90,000 miles on it. Just wondering if Syncros is something that would be changed as a maintenance item. I was thinking refreshing it before installing it may be a good idea.

Synchros are not really a maintenance item. You have to disassemble the entire trans to replace them. It's just as much work to rebuild the trans as it is to replace them. The ones in my T5 had 103k on them when I rebuilt the trans and they looked fine to me so I just reused them. They weren't included in my rebuild kit anyhow. 8k more miles on the trans since the rebuild and they are still fine.

I have two t-5s both with well over 100K on them and no syncro problems with either one. One is world class, the other not.
