Are Mustang and Firebird T5 front bearing retainers the same?
I want to replace mine as well as the fork and pivot. Just wondering if the two cars use the same retainer.

I don't think so. IIRC, the stock mustang unit has a wear prone aluminum tube where the GM one is steal.
