I'm in the midst of doing my T5 swap. Just wanted to know the best way of removing the TV cable from the car. Is it just a pass through, through a grommet in the firewall?

As far as I know the TV cable doesn't go through the firewall at all but I'm interested to know the best way also as I will be replacing mine this coming weekend. Your throttle cable goes through the firewall but the tv cable goes down behind the distributor and down to the passenger side of the tranny.

TV cable does not go inside the cockpit of car.

TV cable end slides/clips onto the throttle body/carb, and uses the std. square head that fits into the bracket. Use slip joint pliers to squeeze the square tabs and push cable through bracket

My mistake, I should have known that. Like I said, dumb question. This is the cable I'm referring too. Is this the shift interlock? If it is, what do you do with it?

That's a tough one, that cable is fastened onto the ign. sw. half way down the steering col. with two little screws.
