1993 Corvette LT1 Code 72 associated with Transmission?

I know its I have a code 72, and a fresh rebuild on transmission.. Transmission runs great and pulls through 4th gear behind my 396LT1. States gear selector switch circuit is. Neutral safety switch part of circuit?
But at part throttle/cruise I get a slight surge. Engine is new, sensors are all new within engine, tuned by good reputable company, never any problems. But now I have this code, can it cause a surge with a 4L60?
I also have intermittent start issue, unless I jump it and it fires right up. Starter is good and battery is always on tender and less than year old.

I would pursue the factory service manual or AllData subscription so you can follow the troubleshooting for that code. An incorrect gear selection indication to the ECM may or may not be the cause of the surge.

I have the FSM. It really uses the TECH 1 Due to having to disable ABS during the flow chart. I am going to datalog to tomorrow night to see if anything shows in very close to closed throttle while cruising, like fuel and spark. I was hoping someone has had a similiar issue too. Gear selector switch/nuetral safety switch do send data for TCC too. And I have had it not start a couple times, with no clicking of solenoid at all when I try to start.
Code 72 according to my fsm is gear selector switch circuit.

http://www.bangshift.com/forum/forum...r-range-switch

See if range signal B passes voltage (or shows continuity to the power input circuit) while in park. A & B while in Reverse, etc.

It seems to me after data logging that the surge is the torque converter lock up with the fact the camshaft in this car is kinda lopey. Its a 230/236 544 555 114LSA camshaft. So, if I raise the lock up mph over the cruise in town speed, I wont feel this surge of the converter fighting against the engine. Thoughts?

I am not going to try work with your file for now.

What MPH unlocks it?

But stock gears and lockup that sticks around below 45 could be a problem, I agree.

If you're tuning your own, maybe lower TPS threshold to unlock it while bumping up lock-up MPH. Doesn't sound too rough a cam, but when is the rear gear swap?

Right now it locks at 45 unlocks 41. 3.73 gears 2800 vigilante converter with 315/35/17 tires.
TPS threshold I will look into. Already moved lock up 56 unlock at 51.
