Narrowed rear end.....

As much as i love my ZR1s Im debating selling them and my 4th gen rear to get a more dished track/street setup 15rear/17front.

Front what I have read 1.5-2” is the most you can shorten a 3rd gen rear per side before you run into ebrake issues. I am also running 1993-1997 LT1 PBR’s, which I hear are the same as 91-92 brakes.

Now im debating ordering a 9” that is 1.5” shorter per side so I can run a 15x10 with a 4.5” Backspace Street lite. More or less to get the dish and billet specialties come in 3.5...4.5...5.5...6.5...7.5. No even numbers. I know on my previous car I ran a 15x10 with a 6.5”BS and ran around a ½” spacer to achieve the 6.0”BS I wanted. No inner or outer mods were required with a 275/50 ET Radial. I am probably going with a 275/60 on this car so im unsure if that will cause any other issues. I would like to stay away from modifying the inner or outer wheel lips.

Anyone that has a narrowed rear without a “mini tub” etc care to chime in. If I have to do some minor inner work its not a big deal. I just don’t feel like cutting my car up.
