ZF 6 Speed
Hi, on my local craigslist there is a rebuilt ZF 6 speed from a 1996 corvette for $1300. I've heard these are hard to find, has anyone had any experience with putting one in a thirdgen?

Re: ZF 6 Speed
The S6-40 is a nice strong trans. that's been discussed here before.
Parts availability and price is poor as the only vehicle in the U S with them had full unit replacement instead of rebuilds at dealers.
Look at shifter position, stock pull clutch vs. push conversions, dual mass flywheel vs rattling.
And the ratios with your car would warrant 4.11 rear gears for better drivability.
