TV cable pulled out of adjustment?
I just had my 4x4 tranny converted to 2wd for my Camaro (recent rebuild, shifted great in truck), shifts great manually or if I floor it...quick, firm and will hold any RPM, I love it...but when I drive like grandma and put it in OD or D it short shifts and wont kickdown as it should. If I adjust the TV a little tighter it shifts really nice, but the next time I floor it I loose my adjustment as it "resets" itself. Do I need a new TV spring? By the way I'm running a 600 Holley with the Holley cable bracket and geometry corrector. Almost seems like I'm pulling the cable too far? Any help is appreciated, I like shifting my own gears but would like a real auto sometimes.

Any chance the truck governor is messing with me? I thought they only affected high RPM shift points?

Re: TV cable pulled out of adjustment?
After more driving, my main issue is it will not always kickdown from 4th back to third. Never goes back to second. When it does go back to third, it acts like its slipping, or not pulling as hard as it should. However when I shift it manually it goes through all gears nice and firm regardless of RPM or load. Any chance it is governor setting? It was set up for my truck when I ordered it. It came out of a 4x4 with 3.08 gears and 31" tires, my car has 3.73's and stock tires.
