Having a issue with my transmission, got my swap running about a month ago and have been trying to move the car on its own but transmission does nothing. Thought levels were maybe too low so I kept adding but with this lokar trans dipstick it's impossible to get correct reading so I ended overfilling trans which then started to leak out of vent tube. Dropped pan today and replaced filter and gasket carefully added about 4.5 quarts before starting and left idle, still no movement in any gears not even reverse. Pulled trans connector off and vss sensor and looked for any issues with those seen none and replaced, still nothing. Is there anything special I have to do when replacing transmission with pcm? I know there's a crank relearn I have to do with pcm and engine after getting pcm tuned but is there anything with trans to make it select gears? When manually put in any gear it doesn't even feel like it shifts into any gear. I jacked rear end up yesterday and ran through all the gears and they all made tires go forward, any suggestions before I just replace this trans? Starting to think its shot. Or do I need to get my hands on one of those expensive scanners and see if there's anything electrical going on? I checked codes with cheap scanner but no trans codes. Thanks for your help really want to get this thing going.

Do you have line pressure readings in the test port?

Best bet is to post readings. That way a trans guy can have more detail to assist you
