pedals: 3rg vs 4th gen
Im about to undergo an auto to T56 swap (along with LS) and I've been given the choice between 3rd and 4th gen pedal assemblies. I understand its gonna come down to personal preference but who's tried both and Whats your opinion?
Thanks

Re: pedals: 3rg vs 4th gen
5th bolt hole is in a slightly different position.
Accel. pedal bracket is attached on 4th gen pedals.
Clutch pedal has a shorter throw (master cylinder stud is closer to the pivot) on 4th gen pedals.
Really early third gen pedals may be set up for the earlier style neutral safety switch up high. The later version that is to the left of the pedal bracket against the firewall has a switch that slips to two slotted holes.
There are some slightly wider brake pedals. And others that are the same as the clutch pedal. I couldn't tell you the years.
That's about it.

Re: pedals: 3rg vs 4th gen
Since all I could find were 4th gen pedals, and I really didn't want to do more work again to get the gas pedal around the steering column (it was a real treat getting it out of the 4th gen), I just cut off the gas pedal from the 4th gen set, and hooked it on up.
Is it OK to do? I don't know
Is it working? 6 months in, no problems.
