'84 auto to manual can I use hydraulics
Can I take the pedals out of the car I have know and keep the hydraulic setup or would I have to switch over and buy new pedals and a z-bar bell housing?
I'm probably buying a car and i'm going to convert it to manual. I know the older ones had a mechanical clutch assembly so i'm asking.

I bought 4th gen pedals for my 88. It has all the braces attached (1st pic) . After you cut off the accelerator pedal, you can attach it to the firewall and then use the brace to cut the hole for the master cylinder. You'll have to enlarge the upper mounting holes and there is a brace at the top of the 3rd gen pedal assembly that's different on the 4th. I didn't use it on mine. Works fine for me.
Then use a hydraulic throwout bearing from Ram Clutches or Howe. They make them to fit most transmissions. They fit into the bell housing so you don't have to worry about slave cylinders. They still need adjustment however. Ram has a YouTube on how to do it.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

thanks for the replies. I think the person isn't serious about selling. The car is in great shape from looking at the pics.
They said it has a 4 cylinder which I didn't even know was an option.
