Rebuilding TH700r4

I'd like to rebuild my 700 to stand about 300HP crank (305 TPI with mods).
First question is how to check which year is it: pre or post '87 ?
Second is where to buy and which kit to have all the parts to do full rebuild ?
I'm form Europe so i want to order all stuff to avoid waiting for any part.
Links would make easier to buy as my English is not that good.

Best regards

Wow...amazing! I never knew there were so many parts/pieces in a transmission. A must watch for anybody....all 11 episodes.

Excellent videos!

Re: Rebuilding TH700r4

The 1988 700R4's use the second design valve body. The Heavy Duty rebuild kit that I offer is the most complete kit out there. I use USPS Priority Mail to send it to Europe. Let me know if I can be of help.

Re: Rebuilding TH700r4

If the number on the passenger side of the transmission starts with a 9 it is a 1989. The input shaft will measure .990" +/- .005" in diameter. With the pan off it will have a tube that goes front the front pump all the way to the back to the auxiliary valve body. A 1982 will have no tube and the input shaft will measure .890" +/- .005" in diameter. To order, go to: 700r4l60e.com or (best) call me at 909 795-1876 PST anytime in the afternoon or evening, except Thursday evening. You are "from" Europe, not "form"....
