rear diff cover question

hi everyone, how much of a benefit would it be to go to a b&m or proform differential cover from stock on a 92 z28 with a 5.7 and t5 and 3.08s ?
i'm gonna change the rear end fluid and i'm thinking about upgrading since
it will be apart.
thanks

Re: rear diff cover question

Minimally beneficial; I wouldn't all it a waste, but also wouldn't send my $$$ that direction, if I were in your situation. About all you'd get out of it, is a somewhat higher fluid capacity.

Instead of $160 on a cover, you'll get ALOT more benefit out of $225 on a pair of new ales and bearings. Pop em out while you have the cover off and you'll see what I mean.

I'm not familiar with the B&M or Proform cover, but the T/A Performance cover can add a little strength to the rear end.

L.P.W. Cover on my upgraded 10 Bolt.
I have a lot invested in mine and wanted to add a little protection.
