Car: 88 IROC Z/28-under re-construction
Engine: 5.7 Tuned Port
Transmission: It's in there....
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt Borg-Warner
Must i have a VSS for the TCC?
Bought the car HACKED with a carb conversion. going back to oem TPI in my restoration. It has a cable speedo, no Vss located. Did the PO take it off? Or is this Stock. Its An 88 Iroc 5.7 700r

The VSS is in the dash, behind the speedometer.

Cable speedo camaros have an electric VSS on the back of the cluster that feeds a signal to the ECM through the dash. It wasnt until 1990 that the VSS was moved to the tailhousing for all Fbodys
