Transmission swap
I am currently in the process of swapping out my 700r4 for a th400 and I was wondering If there was any way I could use the torque converter off the 700?

Re: Transmission swap
BIG FAT NO... Not even close.
Heck you can't use anything off the 700r4 for that swap, not the torque converter, slip yoke, U joint, driveshaft, crossmember, torque arm mount, TV cable.
And yes before you say something, I do have a th-400 in my '88 camaro

Re: Transmission swap
I figured it was a stupid question but I just spent the money on a new torque converter for the 700 then I blew the tranny. Just didn't wanna face the facts I guess lol I'm not even sure I'm going through with the swap yet I might have the 700 rebuilt but I'm not really sure what the right decision is
