Picked up a spare t5

I picked up a t5 from a 82-84 z28 for $160. the owner is doing an lsx/th400 swap and said it was in the car when he got it. I took the hell housing off and it's got a bunch of rtv-does this look like shade tree mechanic type job?

Re: Picked up a spare t5

Just ran the tag number and its coming up as a '83 v6 t5. Lol
Kinda disappointed but for the price I'll have to hold on to it.

Re: Picked up a spare t5

Yeah because that's how mine turned out after taking 2 and making one lol. But mine was a mix of red and blue.

Like you said, decent price, if it works it works. I just wouldn't abuse it too much. Shoot its hard to find a v8 bellhousing for under 50-75$
