Not really a 3rdgen related but I've always ended up here in my searching for information.

I'm working on my 87 Aux vb 700r4 for my 87 S-10 with a 383, that I built back in 02 and made 310 hp @ 5,300 - 371 ft-lbs @ 3,200 at the rear wheels on the chassis dyno.
I had put an Art Carr kit in it when it had a stock 350 in it and started buying parts to rebuild it after I built the 383.
Last spring I finally got around to put the cheap Dacco high stall converter, that’s been setting on a shelf in the garage for 10+ years in it. I was loving it, then something happened. I'm guessing the converter clutch fell apart.

Back then I bought a bunch of parts from Makco, PAC, Bowtie Overdrives, Sonnax, .......

It's basically together, and I'm debating on what to do with body. Because of the Art Carr kit, I also bought Transgo's separator plate because I'm sure some holes are TOO BIG.
After some reading, I ordered the newer output shaft seal and a Transgo 7-300 0.300" low/revers/intermediate boost valve. So, I'll be pulling it back apart to install that seal.

Also debating installing the Transgo 7-CS kit even tough I'm using the boost springs in the Sonnax input drum and my current cam starts falling off @ 5300

Don't really want to go drilling holes in the VB or have full manual. So, that leaves me with the Transgo Sr kit, Fairbanks, and Superior kits.
3-2 control valve, Transgo spring it too long, too stiff?
MTV up valve, Art Carr had me remove, Transgo?
MTV down valve, Superior's is stiffer
B accumulator valve, replace with Sonnax, Transgo spring?
Line Bias valve, block, Transgo spring?

Had to remove about 1/8" off the Sonnax servo pin to get me close to the min 0.075" spec, did that on the cnc lathe and turned a 5mm radius.
