NWC t5 Gone

NWC t5 Gone
So I put a 350 vortec in my I-roc and the car worked pretty good.
I took the car for a hard drive and in the middle of third gear it tore a gear off and in the process did a bunch of damage to other gears. Got the transmission out and now have figured out its a NWC.
Basically my question is what is others advice here?
find a used WC or NWC. Rebuild the one i have right now?
Get a T56? Get a tremac?
What is the cheapest but most worth it option? will a T56 bolt up and will I be able to get the torque arm on the T56? What are my options with the torque arm?
Thanks for any help
I don't mind oppinions of every colour

Re: NWC t5 Gone
If you do a search on t5 transmissions you will find the difference between wc and nwc is like 20 ft lbs. so basically they are both fairly weak. I have a tko personally and like it but it was not a direct swap. If I had to do it all over again I would have gone t56. Do a search on here again for t56 swaps and you will see all that is involved. Be prepared however to spend a good deal for the complete swap.

A t56 is the way to go, you will need one from a LT1 motor. You could get another used T5 or rebuild a WC t5 in a variety of ways. What is your budget?

Cheap way is getting another used T-5 Best way is T-56. By the time you replace all the broken gears in that trans you have you could get a used T-56
