Did I read that right...? You're taking out the motor to put headers and a suspension rebuild kit in?? Why?

See if I could do anything I would build a stronger bottom end, waste money on forged pistons and pour 150HP of nos into it… Along with that I would custom make a sheet metal intake with a V8 Throttle Body. More realistically I want to:

Get the heads shaved to raise compression
Gasket Match and Polish the Heads
Run 105# Valve Springs and 1.52 Roller Tips
New Crane 2030 Cam
68MM Throttle Body (Would need to be custom)
Extrude Hone the Upper and Lower Plenum (I mean make it thin)

2800 RPM Stall Converter
3.73 Posi setup

Tubular Lower Control Arms
Tubular Pan Hard Rod
Tubular Torque Arm
Sub Frame Connectors

i had a funny feeling you were going to ask me that Tom
i just want to give the bay a total cleaning repair a few rust spots
and give it a good painting..........

so far i'm thinking about maybe
new cam *
new pully's
roller rockers *
ignition
roller chain

as for the intake i'm really not sure weather i want a ram or cld setup if go try for a ram i really would liek the hood

what else should i look at or posibaly consider

( * what do these part do )

If I could clean the well up I would repaint it all under there with Por 15 on the lower frame section.

I would say air intake system, and then either that cam, or the pullys.

Haha, okay, cool, I was hoping you weren't going to pull it for a suspension rebuild! I agree w/Brian on the http://www.por-15.com stuff... you could probably make due with the Super Starter Kit for $20. I used it on my 3.73/posi/disc axle, and it was just enough to give the axle two coats. Don't buy much more por-15 than you need; the stuff starts to dry the second you expose it to air. (It's more of a chemical than a paint, it absorbs humidity, and that's how it "dries".) If you think you need more por-15 than the super starter kit comes with, consider buying their 6-pack of por-15. Then you won't wind up with a gallon sized can that's all dried up after a month!
