Hello!
I am Thomas from Germany. At first i will say sorry for my bad english language. My Problem! If have a 1989 Firebird 2.8 Ltr. with manual transmission. At last i bought a ADS Super Chip for my car (i check the VIN and it was a real 1989 Firebird!). On this Chip was a decal with this information: ADS 1989 F-Body 8914-B 2.8 MPI Manual. Last weekend i will put it into my ECM but i dont can do it! My ECM (1227302) have a other cadrigde (connector place). The ADS chip have the typical one connector line, but my ECM have 3 individual Chips!!! So i open the housing of the ADS chip and find 3 individual chips too, but with other sizes. What can i do? Must i install a adapter? I was very happy if you can help me! Thanks!

I'm taking a guess, but I would say you have to get an adapter for it. Don't quote me on this but it's what I would look for.

Hi!

Here you have a pic of my ECM and one of a delco chip. It have the same body as my ADS chip. I have no picture of my ADS chip on this computer.

The ADS chip is not for your ECM or application then.

It will be for a different style ECM.

I find this page:

On this page it was listet four ECM with the same number (1227302), but with other Production Broadcast Codes. I have the code HNT. So i ask me what a connector place the other models have. On google i dont find pics with open ECM with this number. Thats the problem! If i know what i kind of ECM i need, so i can buy it. But i dont can buy all modells! Here in Germany this parts was very rare and the shipping price for the USA to Germany was very expensive.

first off beautiful bird... did u try searching for ur ECM spec? that may help u find the right one... always check the specs to make sure everything is 100% compatible
