AC rebuild question
Ok so I have a non serpentine V6 2.8 with AC. The problem is that I have the r12 setup and its unavailable in the UK so I have to convert to r134a.
From what I've read I need to replace every o ring in the system, including the 2 at the rear of the compressor, change the dryer and orifice tube and then have the system vacuumed and leak rested. Is this accurate?
I do NOT want to end up needing a new compressor, evap, etc etc. if I do, the system will be completely removed and trashed.
Please also understand that we rarely see temperatures above 30 C here in the UK so the efficiency of the system compared to r12 isn't really an issue. I know r12 will be colder but here that just doesn't matter.

Re: AC rebuild question
There used to be a replacement for r12 that you could put in on top of12 called hotshot or something like that. I know that the 2 oils in 12 and 134 or not compatible.
