Think I can get my 600cfm to work on the 2.8?

Think I could get an Edelbrock 1406 carb to run on the 2.8 with the Eddy intake?

They recommend a 390cfm and that's a 600... the carb that came with the intake I just picked up turned out to be a roached old Holley Economaster 450cfm. Better sized but don't really see the point in rebuilding that doorstop.

I do have that 1406 hanging around though and could throw a rebuild kit at that instead.

Thoughts?

And here's a relative pic... 2.8 in a hot rod with the 1406 on top! But my exhaust isn't as... free flowing

I would be impressed if you got it running but best of luck. I would probably just rebuild the holley or get the 390 that edelbrock says to.

You can but you won't get it running well the fuel wont atomize thanks to venturi size vs flow.

Bikes are similar too much carb and it work run right

Looks like that picture is using a 500cfm

Re: Think I can get my 600cfm to work on the 2.8?

I didn't even realize they made the Performer in a 500.

Crud. The 390cfm carb they recommend is nearly 5 bills. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-0-8007

Was trying to give my V6 a little more life while I finished up the 383 build, but this is cutting into the funds too much. Maybe I'll shelve the intake idea!
