That the v6 sub forum is the best oart of tgo, because it is the least stale part. There is still some discussion of theory in here, the rest of it is just arguing about the best bolt together combos.

Definitely surprised me-the rest of the forum is like 90% 350 swap or lsx swap questions which have been done a hundred times over.

Most on this website do not understand how to net the greatest rate of acceleration possible from an engine, all they understand is bigger engine must mean more horsepower which has been "the" adage for a very long time, so they love waving the LSX and 350 flag. I enjoy the V6 stuff more myself, just haven't had the time to delve into it for awhile...

Re: Today i realized

agreed, I find all the v6 guys very communicable, helping everyone at every level. its a very nice forum well done all v6 owners and thanks !

the only other place round here i really enjoyed looking at and reading was the guys interested in keeping but improving the tpi systems. good info and interesting stuff.
sort of leaning towards what Lethal said.

I can certainly vouch for people being more helpful on the V6 section that the rest of it when it comes to mechanical support and modifications. Absolutely brilliant advice overtime; proud to be part of it.....from several thousand miles away anyway!

Re: Today i realized

My own experience is that a 160 HP 3.4L is a lot quicker-revving, in gear, than a 160 HP 305. Even with the lesser torque of the 3.4, and even when you put a V6 axle behind the 305. Part of that must be the weight difference, and maybe a little of it is the torque converter, but I doubt any of it was the placebo effect.
I can't say you guys have been any help with getting my 3.4 to stop misfiring without spending any money, nor determining the cause for free, nor buying it off me, for which I can't blame anyone, but I will get my '01 4.8L LSx V8 with 4L80E swapped in place of my 3.4 / 4L60E eventually, then I will have nothing more to say.
But I like seeing the efforts at trying new ideas, and I like the sharing of info. Even the conversions and hybrids section of ls1tech doesn't compare.
