Electric water pump....Who's done it?

So I've seen a few pics on here with fellas running electric water pumps. Can anyone tell me how you did it? Which pump to run or what timing cover I'd need to get?

Re: Electric water pump....Who's done it?

I run a Proform, it's all custom. Custom TCE timing cover, and a SBF pump.

Elec. pumps are mint though, I love mine, can cool my car down in the lanes in no time flat. It's impressive how quick it can cool the car down when it's not running and the pump and fan are givin' er.

I use it on the street as well, I'd guess 10,000 mi. on mine.

Nice, I ran a proform on my 305 for years as a DD and it never once gave me an issue so I'd like to do that with the V6 as well. Can you give me a breakdown on how you put yours together? Does TCE still make the cover?

Do you know if they still can make them? The timing cover.

I don't think they are still in business...

I am nervous to send a timing chain through mine one day, then I will be .... screwed.

Re: Electric water pump....Who's done it?

I ran the Proform one on my last car. I was also running a March Performance mid mount accessory drive kit. The pump worked with a Cloyes timing chain cover I was running. No issues at all with the pump. I highly suggest running a good quality relay and wiring harness.
