Haven't seen it in person.

A few pics of this car have been floating around here ever since ronal put the wheels back on the market. I just right clicked and saved'em.

I'm pretty sure I saw that car at the Super Chevy show at Pomona CA. I mean there can't be that many IROC-Z's with firehawk wheels that are lowered and that same color can there?

BTW: It's lower than it looks and it's really a clean bad azz car.

that car is BADA$$ if you ask me. That car had the rims before they were on every other Thirdgen. Kinda feel bad for Hawk owners...

That is it.

That's the car I saw. It's bad to the bone, awesome. The funny thing is that he got beat by a 91 rs convertible at the show with a 305 TPI in it and a cowl hood, otherwise the car was crap. I was pissed, that car is killer, I saw it at a Super Chevy show in Pomona CA.

it was at a car show right? it prolly got beat by that thing in it's class but still i would imagine that, that car would desimate all at a car show that's hard to beleive that it got beat in show. and on track.

The main reason that I like these wheels is that they are 9.5 inches wide and don't require spacers. I just wish someone made an aftermarket 9.5 inch IROC wheel.

Do you have a web site or phone number for braid custom?

Also where in the UK are you located?

Thanks

Here's mine. Bought the car with them already on. They say 17X8.5 on the back so I don't think they are 9.5" wide. They have 275/40s all around.

There's a headlight thread somewhere, I forget where it is. Anyway, the lights are chevy celebrity lights, simple cut out, fabbed a bracket, and bolted in.

I'm not a big fan of these rims either, but I like them because they are sublte and give the car a more stock appearance.

Rubbing? Not really. I can turn lock to lock without hearing any "bad" noises, but my front swaybay is shinny in a small area. Right now the front has 1/2" spacers so I think it used to rub, but the previous owner put the spacers to solve the problem. My car also has the baer track kit with the floating rotor, so I don't know if that's why the spacers were needed.

Here's a side shot.

I bought the car pretty much as it looks for $6500. It's kind of a lot , but I didn't mind spending that much cause the car was pretty flawless inside and out with only 32000 miles. Ususally I don't like buying other peoples "projects", but this is my 3rd thirdgen so I knew wht to look for and the previous owner spared no expense. It needs some paint in a few areas, but no big deal to me.

Since I bought it, I did the headlights, tinted the windshield, added a recaro seat, re-did the alarm, re-did the exhaust, added a holley commander 950, and dropped it an additional inch. It has eibach springs, but I didn't take note of which type they were when I cut them.

I think 17s are a good size to go with. Just make sure you get the right offset.

The reason the ronals look soo good on a Camaro is that it already comes with a fat, 5spoke rim to begin with. It doesn't change the lines of the car at all, but the deep dish rims sets it off, and gives it a more agressive stance.

Its hard to put words to just why I like it. But I love those rims on any thirdgen. Oh yes, I do.
