quick size question
Currently have a set of 18x8 Irocs wrapped in 245/45-18. No lowering. I wanted more tire in the rear. Would a 285/40-18 be good. They would be a hair taller and about an 1 1/2" wider. Would 295 be too wide? trying to keep a similar profile between front and rear but wouldn't be too upset with alittle rake.

Re: quick size question
you cant put a 285 or 295/40 or 35 on a 8" wide 18" wheel you need wider, probably 9.5 or better

Re: quick size question
So in order to use say a 295 i would need a 9.5" rim with a 1.5" spacer? What I aim at doing is to try to get alittle meat in the rear in order to gain some traction with my 383/T-56 putting 500hp at the rear. My 245/45x18'8 just don't cut it. I'm all for a different rim/tire combo to gain traction. Car is more of a straight line build.
