Sorry for the delay guys- I paid for the auction by PayPal immediately after it was over and it still took 2 weeks before the "info" got here.
BOTTOM LINE: Do NOT buy this!!!!!!!!!!!
The "info" is comprised of a cdr w/ a PowerPoint presentation on it that was slapped together using information taken word for word from this website: http://www.statikdesign.com/scratchbuilt/index.html
I found this website a few days ago BEFORE the "info" came in, as anyone else can and could have, by performing a simple YAHOO search under "scissor- doors". Here's the kicker. The guy who authored the website based all of his information about how to do a scissor-door conversion on speculation, as he has never done one before. So not only is the seller of the info full of CRAP about this knowlege being based on his personal experience of performing many of these conversions, but the guy who he ripped the info off of from hasn't even done one!!!
The web-site author even mentions on his site that it has been brought to his attention that someone was selling info directly copied from his website and after emails to the Ebay info seller, has allowed him to continue, as long as he includes complete info from the site, not just bits and pieces, and includes a footnote referencing the website.
And last but not least, only "info" (secondhand speculation) is included on scissor doors. A brief overview of the other types of non conventional doors is discussed (again, directly ripped from the above website), but that's all.
SAVE YOUR MONEY and go directly to the website!! The author is only speculating but it actually sounds like the info would be useful if one ever undertook a scissor-door project.
As for the EBAY seller, I'm contemplating on whether or not I should leave him negative feedback or not. I did recieve "info", but it was sold to me as being from his personal experience and it turnes out it was info ripped from a public source, free for all who can find it. Thoughts?

Seriously, DEFINITELY give the guy negative feedback basing it completely on the fact that you were led to believe that it was based on personal experience - NOT ripped directly from some guys' website. Just my two cents.

Rip him a new one. Post negative feed back, tell ebay he's stealing information from another person and selling it.

Hey everyone... someone sent me an email about this guy...and I found a few hits to my site coming from this thread so I thought I'd check it out.
1. Yes, I haven't built any of these before I'm just some poor engineering college kid with a dream, and my Jeep Cherokee isn't the ideal donor for this type of project. However, I've tried to assemble as much info from other sources (read into that as much as you want) as I can. This i guy is the second guy (that I know of) that's selling my info on eBay... which brings me to
2. I just want to share info... and help ppl 'realize their dream'. I could care less about the $. Sure, it pisses me off that these guys are selling my efforts on eBay. The only problem is that eBay is bloated and IMO it's hard to shut someone down. Like I said, there are at least 2 ppl selling this/my info on eBay. How many peolpe just bought one "kit" and then are trying to resell it? That's why i at least wanted them to include my entire site - that way people can go online and see updates, etc.
Besides, I have to admit, I haven't gotten the permission from some copyright holders (of the pics) to post them. They either won't reply to my emails, or I just found the pics somewhere in some online disc board. This makes it even harder to inforce "my" copyright if I really want to get into it.
Anyway, sorry for the essay. I wish everyone here the best of luck with their projects.
