Are you getting this straight from hurst? I have looked for one before and could never find one. So this weekend I was going to get a B&M Megashifter, until I read the thread about them, so I apted for another Hurst i looked at can not remember which one, but I really like the dual gate.
Let me know where I will be able to find it please. It will be worth wait
Yes e-mail Hurst directly and that was the e-mail I received back from them. I would think you could get it from any major performance parts dealer like Jegs, Summit, or any place like that. I will be checking back with them in about two or three weeks to make sure. I will post it here to let anyone know.
you could probably get this shifter from Next Generation Restoration Parts from Year One.or you could go to their website at www.nextgenparts.com. Hope this info helps! Oh, by the way, it costs about 200 bucks.
You can find the description in the Hurst catalong. Go to www.mrgasket.com and follow the links for Hurst, you'll need Adobe Acrobat to read it. The part number for our cars is: #2920000 , on Summit's website the price is $240 but it says you have to call them b/c it's a special item. Might take a little longer to order or they can't order them at all, I dunno. The Hurst site says the one side of the gate acts like stock, while the other side lets you manually control the gears w/ "positive detent stops to prevent overrevving"... I'm not sure what this means. The only catch is you gotta shift to the "competition" side in neutral, which means you gotta get off the gas if you're cruising on the street. Anywho, I guess we need to talk to someone who actually has it to get the real deal. HTH.
