Yeah, that foam one sucks. I had it on my first STang, car backfired, melted and sucked right into the carb. If that is the one you're talkin about.

Edelbrock part number

Hi Beast. The one you're asking about is the Edelbrock Elite Series, according to my Summit Racing catalog. The round ones come in 10" and 14" sizes with and without the Edelbrock script logo on top.
Par numbers are as follows:
10" sans script: EDL-4223
10" with script: EDL-4210
14" sans script: EDL-4224
14" with script: EDL-4207

Hope that helps.

ok heres what happened... i bought the proflo last night at pepboys and the guy at the service counter said that the one they had in stock was the one for my car. and i also asked him if my k&n will fit in it and he said without a doubt. so when i got home i went to go put it on. it didnt fit at all and the k&n didnt fit in it either so was i was so pissed and i went back to return it and the guy that i talked to said that he never said it would fit. that guy was a dick.

it sounds like you are talking about a stock replacement k&n, which wouldn't fit into the edelbrock because that requires a 14x3 element, which most likely yours was not. And don't worry all the parts guys here are dicks too.
