Edelbrock's headers suck!

I didn't cut anytime off my et with these headers. Both capped and un-capped. I am running drag radials so the 60 fts. are consistent! I was getting 1.9 60 foot times. Still running what I ran before. My friend put heddmans on his 87 formula and picked up 4 tenths! Looks like these will be going up for sale when the new motor is in!!! Sorry, just had to vent!

what did you have on there before? Headers can't do much without a high-flo cat and a catback exhaust. Any way let me know the price when you want to sell them

I WOULD RATHER PUSH A CAMARO THAN DRIVE AN IMPORT

1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package , dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, ASCD SS hood, 16" IROC rims.

future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames, Hurst shifter, dakota digital gauge package, procharger supercharger.

from a performance standpoint...yes they do!
from a every day dork stand point, they are much better than stock manifolds.

I guess you havent been reading my posts. I mention how much Edelcrock's header suck in every other one on the Exhaust board.

Sorry to hear you got burned by them.

Well I got them cheap so I went ahead and bought them. BTW, I am not running a cat, and have a Flowmaster 3" exhaust. Who knows, it just stumps me. They obviously are not better than the factory manifolds, because I was running these et's before the headers. I am going to do some more tuning and see what happens.

You are right in that the Edelbrock Headers suck, but so does the Flowmaster....

I have both, and I picked up 30 rear wheel HP by uncapping my exhaust on the dyno.

Yeah but you have aftermarket engine, with many aftermarket bolt ons. So it would probably help your motor out a lot more. As for mine I am running pretty much a stock motor. With the exception of the exhaust, headers, and free mods.

Its not that hard to understand, if u modify the exhaust u have to modify the intake as well. When u modify your intake then the modifications of the header will pay a dividend. LIke a human being, Inhaling and Exhaling is very important to get your motor running.
