Re: Camaro Body kits for 82-92

Sorry I couldn't grab one while the sun was up, but I wasn't sure if I would think about it in the morning. But atleast the flash took out my plate. The exhaust tip on the right is new and just put in place for the picture if you keen eyed chaps notice that it's still shiny. Not much gets past the critics on here, eh?

Not as clean as it probably should be, but it's a very spur of the moment photo op. And she's driven almost daily which never helps to keep 'er clean. Enjoy!

Stop bashing the firebirds. Everyone has a different opinion. In my opinion i think the firebird looks a hell of a lot better than the camaro ever did in every generation. But then again thats just my opinion.

dont bash on camaros! I think that all Firebirds and Camaros are beautiful cars, unless there ragged out, i love F-Bodys no matter if it a 69 Z28 or a 97 T/A there both nice cars.

Re: Camaro Body kits for 82-92

I love my firebird. I like the 1 and 2 gen camaros, 3 gen firebirds, and both 4th gen camaro and firebird(my favorite is the 02 camaro ss 35th anniversary model tho!). Either way that body kit does look pretty good molded to the car. Idk kind of sticks out a lil bit to far in the back(bumper) area for my tastes but idk maybe with the right wing it would look good(4th gen maybe). My biggest complaint with that body kit is the front piece. Idk just doesnt float my boat very well. Overall it looks pretty sweet on your car tho. I like it better on the firebird then the camaro that i always see the picture of.

Best "body kit" is just the factory ground effects. Most of the after market kits make our already big cars look even more gigantic.

i agree with timonthy, the only 2 camaro body kits that should ever be on our cars are the factory ones

All that work, and its just a TBI under the hood?

Firebird > Camaro. That is ofcourse an opinion, it doesn't mean I don't like camaro's. A nice 91/92 Z, or a clean white or black IROC would "rock" to own.

but you a GTA, or a later Z in front of me, and I'll choose the GTA every time.

Re: Camaro Body kits for 82-92

personally i just barely got my *** handed to me, third gen aerodynamics is what got me the title of victor, but no dodge dakota should be able to stay neck and neck with a camaro up to 100, damn 305, all you need to do is whoop the copetition, the crapier your car looks the more the loser feels bad, and hopfully they spent a bunch of money

lol, seriously though.... the firebird is ugly.
No argument there... J/K

I like both kits that were posted. (Referring to the Lambo or Superbird kits) I look at it this way....Cobra kits sell like hot cakes. You won't hear me make the statement..... "well if I wanted a real Cobra, I'd go buy one"...why?..because it ain't gonna happen unless I win powerball or become independantly wealthy somehow....and I don't forsee that happening anytime soon, so it's the next best thing IMO is to build a replica.

Besides, once you put one of those kits on either your Camaro or uh..bird chassis, let's face it - it's no longer a thirdgen anyway. Myself, I wouldn't bother with the other kits that still look like thirdgens with extra glass pieces..

But who am I to say? Some people actually loved the look of AMC Pacers and Gremlins...

Most of you might not believe this, but back when I was in my early twenties, I actually had the opportunity to buy an actual Plymouth Superbird when I was stationed in San Diego....I had an old Charger and was in a local club called "Mopar Unlimited"....One of the members was selling one - it only had 12K original miles on it!! If I would've had 10,000 bucks handy at the time, I woulda bought it in a HEARTBEAT. But - I was even poorer then than I am now......

These are fake projectors if you dont know. terrible output and glare. i only plan on getting them to match my real custom projectors. would never use them for actual headlights
