A friend of mine has it and I have looked through it. Basically it has a couple of good engine combos and how to set up your suspension. It also shows ways to save weight.

I have it, it is a bit thin (thinner than a magazine). Has some good info if you're building a carbed track car. If your car is fuel injected you may be disappointed.

I bought that book. It's worth it if you are building a full out race car. For anything you wish to drive on the street and remain legal, forget it. It will be a waste of your money. You can get more tech info reading these forums.
