well to get that plastic moulding to hold the guages i would try:

www.jegs.com

or

www.summitracing.com

they both sell them and are pretty much the largest 2 car parts stores in the country

They are called a-pillar pods. They will run under $25. Part number ATM-10201 for the single and ATM-10200 for the dual pod. Those are Summit's part numbers. Hell, you might as well ask the sales guy about the triple pods. They are not available anymore but i heard that they might come back for our cars. Don't know though. They also have free ground shipping. Good luck

Triple pod not available, dual pods run 2 1/16" guages, pod cheap, good guages expensive.

Here is a dual guage cluster, with a single one connected to the top, came out pretty good, I couldn't find a 3-guage pod for the 3rd gen.

auto meter makes two kinds.
a full pillar that holds one or two gauges and they also make a pod, this is just the housing for the gauge, u can see in the picture below that it is a little cheaper looking. my suggestion is to get the full pillar style w/ 2 gauges. they are 2.0625 gauges, your probly going to spend 60-100 a gauge so what the differnce between 25 for a pod to a pillar for a few more dallors. also the ful pillar verison is only for the hardtop.

I didn't see a full pillar version in their catalog or I could have skipped over that page, but that is a good way to go, I will look again. Also you are correct about the cost of the guages, for example my sport comp electric fuel pressure guage was $190 because it goes inside the vehicle and has a special sender, Nitrous pressure guage was $85 but I had to buy a 6 ft braided hose ($50) to install it, Trans temp was the cheapest ($39) but I had to fabricate a T-adapter into my trans lines. But I believe the guages are a good investment, in guages you kinda get what you pay for.
