Need quick answer using Hypertech gauge

Ok, first of all my throttle body and upper intake plenum are off the car. So I decided to install an AFPR. Well I checked the stock pressure setting and it was at 42psi. I did it with the ignition on/engine off like it said to do.

Did I get an accurate reading? I read somewhere that with some sort of "vacuum" hose disconnected or something that your PSI reading will differ. ???
anyone?
thanks

on the regulator there is a fitting for a vacume hose that goes to the plenum. now with the engine running the vacume loweres th efuel pressure, as you open th ethrottle and the vacume gets lower the presure goes up. how you set the regulator is you set the max psi (disconnect the vacume fitting) now thats just about the psi of the fule when your engine will be at WOT now i would check the pressure with the engine running and the vacume line disconnected and plugged for the most acuracy. but for roundabout acurat readings just key in th eignition engine off will do
