Best SFCs for the money

Competition engineering ? SSM ? which ones should I go with. I plan to get them welded.

Also, do they get in the way of rear swaps and such?

thank you

I have the SSMs, they're great. Alston also makes good SFCs for around the same price ($150), however they are tubular rather boxed liked the SSMs. With the SSM's, you can weld them along the rocker panels and also use them as jacking points. Steve Spohn was working on a set of SFCs for our cars that were very similar to the SSMs and a lot less money. It seems like I remember he was taking orders for them a while back. Anyone know if he's started production on them yet?

I just had Alston installed. Before them, I had plenty of noises passing over speed bumps. After the install, the car is quiet and stiff. In a convertible, I like it. They were 179 from the factory. IRS does not sell them anymore. 847-395-3500. www.AlstonRacing.com

I have the Alstons and I'm very satisfied with them. You can get them from Internet Racer's Supply, they're sold as "Terminator" pieces but they're made by Alston.

I am expecting my Steve Spohn SFC's to be here in a day are two. I got the powder coated ones and shipped for only $157. That seems like a pretty good price to me .I should have them on next week.

I'm still waiting to see the Spohn ones, but another set I saw that I liked were the SLP's. I never knew they made them until I was at thier customer appreciation weekend last fall. They are boxed and made of stainless steel I think. I think the only thing I didn't like about them was the price. Unfortunately SLP is often a little on the expensive side, however their quality usually justifies the added expense. Let me know how the Spohn ones turn out.

Well, I got my Spohn SFC's today and they look great. I had no idea they were going to look this good. I wish I had a digital camera to take some pictures, because I would love to show these off . I would highly recommend getting them from Steve Spohn, he did a great job.

SouthernIroc: They look good huh? I ordered 'em as well. I should be gettin' an email from steve soon telling me to send in my money. It's about time. Ordered 'em a little under a year ago... But I sure hope they're worth it. I got the non powdercoated and after I have 'em welded up I'm gunna paint 'em flat black.
