Ronal Firehawk R15's DISCONTINUED???

Click the link to Hawks, scroll down, and youll see this:

Quote:
DON'T MISS THIS LAST CHANCE TO PURCHASE THE RONAL 2nd EDITION 91-92 FIREHAWK WHEELS. THESE ARE THE LAST SETS AVAILABLE. NO LONGER AVAILABLE THROUGH RONAL OR SLP. WE HAVE 1 SET OF RED, 1 SET OF LT. SILVER, 2 SETS OF DARK SILVER, AND 2 SETS OF CHROME. ALL ARE 17x9.5. ALL WILL BE SOLD ONLY IN SETS OF 4. CALL TODAY AND ORDER 1-864-855-2694!! or CLICK ON THE LINK ABOVE AND ORDER ONLINE!!
Their asking price is $1400 a set!

Can anyone shed some light as to whats going on? SLP's site says nothing about this, and still lists them as $1099 a set. Something isnt right here...

I'm pretty sure SLP gets theirs through Ronal with SLP center caps... yes, they are in fact discontinued. When I talked to Ronal earlier this summer they said they only had a few sets left ready to ship, and that they are discontinued once again...

very cool wheels

Gary@ Ronal quoted me a price, and when I was ready to buy (granted 2 month later) he quotes 75.00 higher per rim WTF.

I bought his last two sets of original red firehawk lense caps I told him I needed to sell my home first (two mortages at that time) and I would buy the set as soon as it sold. I didnt think it would take two months, but anyway he didnt honor his price nor his word. So I guess Im not going to buy a set and I sold the lenses, so be it.

I like my GTA wheels, but as soon as I upgrade my brakes, Im buying a set of Boyds I really like, someone here has them on their Camaro and they can only look better on my GTA

WHEN DID YOU BUY AND SELL THOSE LENSES? I pleaded for "the last set" of those over a year ago and he said he had none left....

If you search my posts, you will know that I have had MAJOR issues with Gary in the past. It does not surprise me that your price wasnt honored -- sorry to hear that.

Yep, the production of R15s has ended...the topic of one lovely conversation with Gary.

JMatlock88

lets see I bought them around Oct 2002. I recently offered them for sell here with those who have the ronals, but nobody seemed to want them. I ended up selling both sets to a guy off of Firehawk.com. I think his name was robert (very nice guy) anyway he didnt have a firehawk but was collecting all that he could when he does buy one. If I would have know you wanted a set they would have been yours, sorry.

Your car looks hot w/o those silly firehawk caps

I placed my order the day they announced them. The person who took the order quoted them at $1,180 custom painted black windows and shipped. I left a $50.00 deposit and waited.

I found out they were ready to go and called to pay the balance. They gave me a higher total, but I told them I quoted the above price shipped.

They honored it with no problems. The other price was about $175 higher.

I want a set of the SLP centercaps! Couldn't find any though.

I have a set of the original Firehawk logo caps but they're in red. Wouldn't look good with my black GTA.

Oh well.

I REALLY need those center caps. Let me know if you'd like to sell them or if you'd like to trade for my WS6 centercaps. Thanks!

Where are those WS6 centercaps from? I thought the only caps available were the SLP or the Ronal ones?

They're from GM (4th gen wheels) I modified them to work with the Ronals. They were about $50 from GM (have receipt).

Damn. I was fighting myself on getting these "the next time SLP has a sale" because I like everything about them (esp. the basic style) except the brake clearance and the rears will need spacers on my ride.

I searched on SLPs site again and again and was just .

Oh well, it's best that I wait at this point in time.
