Are there two different sizes of disk rotors on the 9 bolt rears? I have had what I think to be reliable sources tell me there are two different sizes 1) 11.65x .81 and 2) 10.5 x .957. I guess one would have to measure to tell which ones are on the rear. Are the larger ones for the 1LE option, or?

Shortening the control arms would simply change the forward location of the axle. The relocation brackets correct the angle of the control arms.
On a lowered car, the control arms will be angled upward toward the axle. This increases wheel hop.
The relocation brackets angle the control arms DOWN toward the axle. The result is no wheel hop and better traction.

Yes, there are the two different sizes you listed. 10.5 is the standard size that came on '88 and earlier cars. The 11.65 is the PBR option found on the 1LE and the '89 to early '90 cars.
In late '90, the 9-bolt option was dropped and all cars got the 10-bolt with PBR brakes.
Hey Drain I just noticed that I am on the list twice, #47 and #68. I only need one, just thought i let you know. One question I have is what brake code would a 9-bolt from an 89 forumula 305tpi 5-speed have? That is the rear end that is in the 91rs so I just thought I would find out before I order any brake upgrades. Any one have a link to where I can find EBC rotors, or even their homepage. Thanks.

A 91 RS would have the 10 bolt unless the rear end had been changed.

Yes it has been changed twice. The POS one-legged 2.73 drum was ditched a long time ago. I put in a 9-bolt disc with 3.70 except the retard that set the up, set them up wrong, causing the rear to howel. So now it has just a 9-bolt disc 3.45 stocker for now, and the 3.70 9-bolt is my basement in case I need an emergency spare. The 3.45 9-bolt was the one out of the 89 formula 305 5-speed. The best part about it was it was complete from disc to disc and only cost me ..................$250!
What is the timetable looking like ? TA Performance doesn't seem to answer their e-mail. I would be pleasantly surprised by September, but I don't think it will happen, anybody know anything new ?
After being in manufacturing engineering for 35 years I do know these things take time. First the mock-up, then to mold making, back to revisions, the then the casting, back to revisions and modifications to the casting, prototype production, testing of the prototype, maybe back to revisions. testing of the finished product, maybe back to revisions. then to advertising/publications of the item. Then to final sales. There is quite a process to get a good qualiyt product...
We will watch the grass grow and mow it for now...Someday I'll bet we will have them...Cocaaolakidd...

Sounds exactly right, what I don't agree with is a manufacturer who should know better or anyone for that matter giving me an unrealistic time table.
I built a house a couple of years ago and was my own general contractor and if I had a nickel for every unrealistic timetable or broken promise "I'll be there bright and early monday morning" type of thing I'd be a wealthy man.
That's the first mistake most people make, trying to save money being their own contractor....it always costs more being your own contractor....Not being a professional contractor and not knowing all of the pitfalls the costs skyrocket....in most cases...

Read the post, didn't say a word about costs and for the record I have a lot more house for the money and better quality by doing the general contracting myself....the post was talking about broken promises....people not showing up...unrealistic timetables....
Take me off of the list-I found a dana 44. I have my 9 bolt listed in the classifieds if anyone is interested. Has relocation brackets, either 3.70 or 3.27 gears without brakes. Posi is real tight and no problems with anything else.
Well, I called Dave at T/A Performance today and he is waiting to get the sample castings from the forger. Then he will do some test fitting and start to program the machines with the dimensions needed to machine the covers. So it will be soon, just not tommorow. I asked about a time frame and he told me It really comes down to having a machine free for a period of time, long enough to do a run of covers. Sit tight !! It's coming !!
I called out of curiosity today. The person I talked to said that at the stage they are at, in regards to molds and such, the covers should be availible to the public for purchase by the new year. (Read - January) That's great news!!! Most of our cars are going or gone for winter, (unless your some of the lucky yearround sunshine states) so when we bring them back out for next summer, we should have our new covers on. Sweet.

Cocacolakidd:- Are you serious? Diffsolutions/9-bolt.com don't know the meaning of the term 'customer service'.
They don't even reply to their emails! Do a quick search on the boards and you'll see that many more people have had the same problem. If Miles would get his act together his company would be a real money spinner as their are a lot of people looking for 9-bolt parts. I hope his performance improves, if it does then I'll buy some of his products.
Yes I have heard that about Diffsolutions but I need a rear cover . Like you said if he would straighten up with better customer service it would be a good site to shop at. I did get a set of Cones from there with a good price and quick shipping at that time. It's also the only place I know of to get some of the parts for my 9-bolt if I need something, break something, or want different gears (where else?).
One other note here: Some of the others have queried whether either TA or Diffsolutions have "Carrier Loading Studs" incorporated in their cover - I would think that they both have them, otherwise what would be the use of just a fancy cover - Isn't that the whole purpose of the cover?
