send me the other set......haha j/k thats odd, i think they need to get a little more organized but o'well as long as everyone gets there stuff itll be ok i guess. i dont know if im going to get my hood friday because its "good friday" so who knows, if i dont ill probably be pissed. lol
I'd like to place an order with you for the same, but designed for the entire hood.... as a wrap-decal, with a a color-coordinated triple stripe transversing the hood surface from notheast to southwest corners... highlighting the large number on the upper quadrant, and "Team Ram Air" as you designed for the underhood label...but much larger, on the lower quadrant...I'm sure you could design something as "unique", as Bobby LaBonte's Passion of Christ "wrap"!
"Michael Waltrip
I think it is great. I’m a Christian and when I look up and see clouds and Christ’s name on his hood – it takes me to a happy place."
Golly, in a graphic, full color, "Team Ram Air" with large (18") number...with "clouds in the background"....what a wondafull day that would be.....:lala:

I like the ones in the quotations! either are graet! I now have a 9 bolt rear end in my little toy, just need the hood and warm weather to stay!!:hail: :hail:
hmmmmmm.....NO ONE is gonna join me in the reserved "Team Ram Air" section of the forthcoming F-Body Gathering....it would be quite stunning to see a long line of team members with pink clouds on their hoods. I mean, talk about "waking up" the crowd assembled:lala:
Cop used a LIDAR gun on me..from 926' away while I was leading the pack to the next light....ended up with a 55 in a 40MPH zone...and he even gave me an extra "no seatbelt ticket"....my three schnauzers wanted to bite his face off. Today, and the rest of Easter Weekend, our police are swarming...stopping lots of inattentive drivers. Got it on the way to the local Chevy Dealer to pick up the only main hood latch of an 88 Camaro that they had.
Cost $39, but when you add in all the other "quota day" citations I was showered with....it added up.
Likewise mine arrived in the area today on a D&L truck, but for residential delivery, they have to call you and "make an appointment for delivery"...which will be ....Monday!!

mine was shipped friday and i got it the following thursday, they called for 5 business days, but i got it in 4. so i dont know when youd get yours, hopefully ASAP
How many are going to switch hoods as soon as they get theirs?
Looking at the extensive links on "fitment", some might leave the task to a body shop....but of course...we all want to do it ourselves. I just hope the basic fit is "very close" from this manufacturer.
that is why it is so nice to have a good friend that works at a body shop! what is even better is that he owes me a couple of favors! can't beat that! mine will on this week! just needs to get warmer!
Terrific, if your pro bodyshop buddy will help you make the transiition...glad the front end of my 88 hasn't seen a front end collision....I'll have a fairly good shot at having it fit....I'll report, as of tomorrow, how it went. A 70-year-old, attempting to change hoods by hisself, ought to make for an interesting documentery!!:lala:
The "sled" is in great shape...unbelievably...because they just dumped the hood in a large cardboard "sleeve".....and one end of the box was completely ripped open. All I had to do was pull it out. Two dinky metal straps were hardly hanging on the box.
I call it "Miracle Time" for this delivery to have ended up with the goods in fine shape! BTW, the finish on it is excellent. Worth the wait, even tho it was pulmelled and punished, enroute!

More good news. The new ballsey hood is very well made...and it fit "like a charm" after I removed the OEM metal hood.
Your original hardware integrates "like a charm" with the fibreglass hood. Basically, attach everything and make minor adjusmests if needed (for instance, I had to drill a slightly bigger hole on one side of the striker so that it could fix the very slightly off-drilled holes...but that was a minor task....
Took the ol' man about an hour to remove the original metal hood... (anyone interested in a tough steel ..red hood, perfect, with white decal stripes??) ...after all the trials and tribulations we've supposedy suffered....
I guarantee it will be a happy day when you see your great RamAir Team HOOD.....if you've got a well-lined-up front end, there is absolutely no problem installing this Ram Air gem!:lala:

It is amazing that this mold has hit the OEM dimensions...right on. I have my latch/catch set at its highest postition, and, when I slam my new ballsey hood down, its locks like a tiger grip....
No pins for me...this hood looks...and acts (I've taken it on a couple of spins)....like it wants to make my 2.8 into a roaring V8!
The Group purchase was a beautiful thing as far as G-Daddy is concered!!:lala:

wow.....anyways about fitment of the hood, i had to drive to work without a hood on my car because when i went to put it on the passenger side back bolt was slightly off enough that i couldnt get the bolt in straight so i had to oblong the hole in the hood hinges a little but didnt have enough time to put it on.....so much for a great fitting hood. o'well thatll teach me fore being the "prototype" lol.....also calm down people!
My boss got a call today at work, teh hood should arrive tomorrow, ill block it and prime it, preshoot adn clear the bottom of it, sand blast my hinges and paint them also, and then do the inner lips of the fenders and install the hood, hope it fits, just have to get the new motor in the freshly painted engine bay so i can throw the hood on,
AND I GOT MY GRILLS< BUT NO DAMN STICKERS< WTF IS THAT ALL ABOUT!!!!!APM< WTF!!!!
