Question about lifters...

I'm just curious about what you guys think. If I buy new lifters for my car, it will be at least another 3 weeks, maybe more before it runs. If I reuse my old ones, I can order everything else I need to put it together and going like this week! What do you guys think? I haven't had any problems with my old ones, and they are roller after all. Let me know your opinions.

108k miles on the lifters. I had no problems with them at all. I have mics at work, I guess could check them out. I know for a fact that none of them are loose or anything. And none of them were clicking either.

I figure if nothing else, I'll use them for now. If it seems they are causing a prob, I can always buy them later.

I know the roller sets aren't the cheapest by any means, but it's cheap insurance and not anything I'd want to tangle with when it became a problem later if you know what I mean. Check 'em out I guess, just hate to see a problem down the road on a fresh engine

If you are putting in a new cam I suggest you check into getting a set of Rhoads lifters, which are high bleed down and simulate a variable duration cam. Then you can put in a bigger cam for top end and still maintain down low torque and driveability.
