tpis miniram

I dont normally pull for this company because they are definitely overpriced. but i have to admit that they know what theyre talking about and their products do what they say. ive got a miniram, zz-409 cam and the recommended springs, and a vigilante 3200 stall converter along with the mods in my sig. with this combo, i am running 13.009 at 105 mph on the stone stock l-98 iron heads. i am putting over 320 horsepower to the ground. i didnt believe this was possible with stock heads, but now ive got the timeslip to prove it. all i need to hit 12's is a gear swap to 3.73's. i know its a lot of money, but smoking 4 modded ls1's in a row makes it worth every penny.

Why didnt you go for the LT1 intake and pay half the price for the same results?

Because it doesn't give "the same results."

Edelbrock made an LT1 intake (don't anymore) and it provided some gains over the stock LT1 intake. If the modified-to-fit LT1 intake is so great, how could Edelbrock have made gains over it so easily?

Answer: An LT1 intake is not a Mini-Ram II

Why doesn't Edelbrock make it anymore?

Answer: There's no real need for it.

I'm just messing with you jmd. But IMO I believe there's a reason there is no popular intake replacement for the lt1. You don't see Holley marketing their "Cure for the common LT1" as they refer to the stealthram to the tpi. The lt1 intake seems to be enough for just about anything on the street.

that's funny, i ran similar times using a gm fastburn 383 crate.

while the intake works it's the most overpriced over exploited intake out there. tpis use to be on top of their game...glad it worked good for you though. that's a decent number but expected for that amount of money.

Good numbers 92RSZ....
That ZZ-409 is a good size cam...too much for stock L98 heads...but with a good set of heads on your motor,it would run very well....
Yeah the Mini-ram is expensive, but like said its a clean installation
and having owned one with a 58 mmm tb attacted to it...it looks tough! This hobby requires lots of $$$ if you really want to run
a decent setup that lasts....and if you flinch over spending a couple extra hundred bucks here and there ,you don't belong in it.....
