driving in the rain w/ a ram air hood?

with these aftermarket ram air hoods, is there a design incorperated into the intakes to remove water. I have the 98 raptor style hood on my 88t/a, and i cant imagine driving through the rain with it functional, the filter would get soaked. what is the soultion to this problem?????

On my car with the RA II giid if you look in the hood openings you can see that the air intakes are straight inline with the air box not the filter so any incoming water should drop out before reaching the airbox, if not it will impinge on the airbox and drip off down by the radiator. I have driven through some torrential rain and had no problems. If you are really worried about it you can make an insert with some redirectional walls to force the water out.
