Proform electric water pump

I'm very pleased so far with this purchase. Install was simple, although I had some trouble finding the right brackets to do away with the serpantine (ended up using AlanGroves brackets). I don't have a lot of miles on it yet, but no hassles so far.

Just looked, and right now Jegs is selling them at 20 bucks off. Not a bad time to grab one.

no probs with my csi one either. and as far as alan grove goes woohoo i was stumped on the install without that bracket. did you get the one that relocates the alt to a mid mount? really cleaned up that side of the engine.

yea it's sweeeeet. Mid mount alt on pass side, and power steering mounted about where the stock location is. Looks very clean... all you see under the hood is motor . His brackets aren't cheap, but boy it beats the hell out of the competition (March, moroso, ?) unless you're looking to go chrome/billet. The Groves stuff is also very nicely made and includes all hardware, and decent information/instructions. A quality product.

i never knew about the groves brackets.. but 110 for both.. awsome..... although i wanted to underdrive but i guess that'd be stupid since then the alt would be fargered up and the power steerin wouldnt work as well

Any reports on how much power one picks up with the electric water pump? I would only be interested in one for the horsepower increase. Otherwise I will go the Stewart Stage 2 aluminum water pump. Allen

What are the specs on your dad's car? 2.5 tenths is very good. I would settle for 10hp and one tenth. Thanks, Allen

With that setup your dad is probably shifting in the 6500rpm range if not more. I can see that the faster the mechanical water pump turns the more power it uses. If I'm shifting in the 5600 rpm range than maybe 10-15HP. I can live with that.

With that mod and a 1/4 tank of gas versus the darn near full tank I was using last time I should be able to cut a 12.5X. I turned a 12.73 last time out. Allen
