K/N's X-Stream Air Cleaner Lids

Has anyone tried the X-Stream Lid in conjunction with other K/N filters (4 bbl carb)?

I think they would work well, but only with some kind of hood scoop.

When I get my SS hood I'll probably pick up a 14x4 K&N and that lid.

Send a message via ICQ to Get Blown ?
From what I read the K&N filter lid if good for an extra 45-50cfm which means your 14x3 w/ a filter lid will flow almost equal to a 14x4 w/o a filter lid. It's really just for cars with hood clearance problems. http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...rs/index.shtml

Try 1000 CFM for the lid. I have one on my 5" K&N 14" air cleaner and it works just fine. Check the sig for times.
